KG457 set course in company with a Hurricane escort, which turned back after 20 minutes due to the weather. The Dakota did not turn back and failed to return from the mission. Initial searches found nothing, and search operations were suspended for many years due to a civil war in Burma. In August 1954 the Army reported it had found a wreck & five bodies 3,2 km SW of Roshi, Myanmar. T | ||
